Blue Cross Blue Shield Global® (BCBS Global) Core Claims Submission

GeoBlue would like to remind you that if you treat a member insured under the BCBS Global Core program, you must submit either a Direct Pay Letter (DPL) or a signed claim form from the member. If the DPL doesn’t arrive by the time of the appointment or date of discharge, please complete the claim form. For an outpatient consultation that does not require ongoing treatment, we suggest that the BCBS member pay at the time of service.

Please note that this is only for BCBS Global Core members. For GeoBlue insured members, you can submit claims without a claim form for both inpatient and outpatient care. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Please remember to submit claims within 90 days from the date of service or discharge.

90 days to 1 yearWe will accept invoice submissions past the 90th day; however, the invoice may be denied for coverage if it exceeds the policy’s timely filing period. Please also be sure to submit any payment inquiries or disputes to our Provider Finance team within one year from the date of original invoice submission to us, presuming the submission was within the policy’s timely filing period (which varies by product, from 90 days to one year from date of service). Please contact us if you have any questions on this policy.

We are pleased to announce that he is moving to a new role as Manager, International Compliance and Vendor Management. We’re reviewing options for filling the open position Carlos’ promotion creates on our Provider Finance team and will update you when we have a replacement.
